Mr. Allen is an Independent Consultant on law enforcement technologies. He provides strategic planning, business development, and product analysis support and has served on several Technology Advisory Boards for private and public sector clients.
He has provided expert views to local and national television, radio, and print media on law enforcement technology and information technology policy issues.
He has been a member of several corporate boards, including the Board of Directors for Signalscape Inc; Board of Directors for Morpho Detection Inc; Board of Managers for Responsive Geospatial Systems LLC; Board of Directors for Hazardous Management Solutions Inc; Board of Directors for Intec Billing Inc; Board of Directors for Detica Inc; Board of Directors for DTC Communications Inc., as well as the Board of Directors for the Maine Seacoast Mission (charitable organization); and Board of Advisors for CSGI .
Mr. Allen retired in 2001 as a senior executive with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) where he had over 28 years of experience as a Special Agent and in managing highly skilled, technical and investigative personnel and programs. During his years of service with the FBI he developed a national reputation for developing and delivering sophisticated and complex technological solutions that supported investigative and intelligence challenges.
Mr. Allen has had substantial and unique experience working technology policy issues with both domestic and international law enforcement organizations.
Mr. Allen received a B.S. Biological Sciences from the University of Maine and a M.S. in Forensic Sciences from the George Washington University. He also attended the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
