On June 14th, 2013, Klas Telecom’s VoyagerTR, a ruggedized vehicle tactical router, was selected to participate in the Army’s Network Integration Evaluation (NIE) 14.1. The contract was awarded by the U.S. Army Contracting Command to provide vehicle tactical routers and field support representatives (FSR) to configure, integrate, install, and troubleshoot the vehicle tactical routers during NIE and the preceding Lab Based Risk Reduction. The contract vehicle also allows the Army to procure additional routers and FSR support in the future.
NIE 14.1 is scheduled for Fall 2013 and will take place at Fort Bliss, Texas and White Sands Missile Range, N.M. The formal request for proposal and resulting contract awards are the first to come out of the NIE process.
More information on the award can be found on the Army TACOM procurement website under solicitation number W56HZV13R0103.
