Klas Telecom Invited to Participate in NIE 14.2

In response to a Sources Sought/Army Call for Mature Solutions released this summer (2013), the U.S. Army has decided to pursue further evaluation of the Klas Telecom Voyager system, and, pending successful pre-integration activities, will include Voyager in the Network Integration Evaluation 14.2 (NIE 14.2) scheduled to be held in May 2014.

Klas Telecom Attends 82nd Airborne Jump Test at Ft. Bragg, NC

During the week of August 6th – 9th, members of Klas Telecom went to Ft. Bragg, N.C. to attend and support an airborne operation performed by the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division during which they tested our Voyager equipment along with the equipment of other vendors. The 82nd Airborne Division (82nd Abn. Div.) was testing the equipment for evaluation by Project Manager Warfighter Information Network Tactical (PM WIN-T) Increment 1, which is a component of the Army’s current and future tactical communications network backbone that provides a full range of data, voice and video communications at-the-quick-halt to its soldiers.

Klas VoyagerTR Selected for NIE 14.1

On June 14th, 2013, Klas Telecom’s VoyagerTR, a ruggedized vehicle tactical router, was selected to participate in the Army’s Network Integration Evaluation (NIE) 14.1. The contract was awarded by the U.S. Army Contracting Command to provide vehicle tactical routers and field support representatives (FSR) to configure, integrate, install, and troubleshoot the vehicle tactical routers during NIE and the preceding Lab Based Risk Reduction. The contract vehicle also allows the Army to procure additional routers and FSR support in the future.

JCSE Selects Klas Telecom’s Voyager 8 Flyaway Kit for Next Generation Tactical Communication Systems

On November 21, 2012, The Department of Defense’s Joint Communications Support Element (JCSE) selected Klas Telecom, Inc.’s Voyager 8 tactical communications system to support their vision for baseband deployment and integration of networked and non-networked capabilities. The contract to acquire the Klas’ Voyager system was awarded by the MacDill Air Force Base 6th Contracting Squadron after rigorous technical and operational testing. Voyager 8, Klas’ latest Voyager tactical communications system, will provide the JCSE (Airborne) with their next generation tactical and scalable communications capability.
