MacDill AFB, Florida. Last week, in step with the Army’s C4ISR efforts to modernize its tactical networks and information technology, 50th Expeditionary Signal Battalion –  Enhanced (50th ESB-E) and the Joint Communications Support Element (JCSE) successfully jumped their Voyager 8 multi-enclave baseband solution also referred to as JBLOX, L3Harris Hawkeye III SATCOM antenna, and generators from a C-130 aircraft and were fully operational in less than 30 minutes.

Once the equipment hit the ground, it took about 15 minutes for the team to retrieve and transport the communications gear to the Tactical Assault Center (TAC) and another 15 minutes to get NIPR and SIPR data, voice, and video fully operational.

Once more, Voyager has proven to be a truly rugged and expeditionary system that can be airdropped and fully operational in less than 30 minutes.

Voyager, the smart and efficient way to communicate. Agile, versatile, and rugged by design. #CommunicateMoreCarryLess #OneSystemAnyMission
